  1. Personal data:

Personal data means any information relating to a natural person who is identifiable or can identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more specific factors. It covers data that alone or in combination with other data can lead to the unambiguous identification of a specific natural person. be


  1. Information collected by Protecturo Ltd when using Charon Messenger:

The types of information we receive and collect are the minimum necessary data for you to use Charon Messenger. To create a Charon Messenger account and be able to make full use of its features, you only need to provide your email address.


If you use additional features provided by the software, we may need to collect additional information in order for us to provide those features. If you choose not to provide the information that is necessary to use a feature, you will not be able to use that feature.


  1. Information you need to provide to us:

Your account: You must provide your email address and choose a profile name to create a Charon Messenger account. If you do not provide us with this information, you will not be able to create an account and use our Services.


Messaging and multimedia: Your messages and the multimedia in your messages are encrypted, thus protecting content such as photos, audio, videos, files and documents from being accessed by third parties.


Accessing your account: When you register and want to log in to your account, you will need to enter your email, which is the minimum information necessary to provide you with access to Charon Messenger.


  1. Information we collect automatically:

We collect information about the use of our services by our users. This includes collecting information about interactions with other users through Charon Messenger, as well as the time, frequency, and duration of their activities.


We collect information about how our services are presented when you use them. This information includes log files, timestamps, crash and diagnostic data, website presentation logs, and error messages or reports.


We use cookies, which are a small packet of information sent by a web server to an Internet browser and then returned by the browser each time it accesses that server. Cookies are used to store information on the client web browser.


We collect information about your in-app settings, privacy settings and records of whether you have agreed to all the terms and conditions necessary for your use of the services we offer.


  1. Use of external tools:

Charon Messenger uses absolutely no external tools and in no way do we collect any information in excess of what is necessary for the product we offer to function properly. The system does not allow access to the software we offer to external parties to collect and store any personal data that could lead to the accurate and unambiguous identification of a user.


  1. What we use the information you provide for:

Any information we collect from users is used solely for the purpose of facilitating the use  of Charon Messenger and its continuous improvement without it being possible to uniquely identify the users of the system through the information collected.


  1. Storage of the information you provide:

We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including to provide our Services or for other legitimate purposes, such as complying with legal obligations, enforcing rules and preventing violations of our Terms and Conditions, to combat spam, or to protect or defend our rights, property, and users.


The period of time we will store your information is usually determined by how long we need that information to provide you with our Services, including any additional features you use, and to provide customer support.


To respond to a legal request or to comply with applicable laws in the Republic of Bulgaria where we have a legal obligation to retain information. For example, if we receive a valid legal request, such as a retention order or a search warrant associated with your account, we retain your information after you delete your account.


The data provided by all Charon Messenger users is hashed one-way and stored in the database, and it cannot be returned to their original form. The purpose of this one-way hashing is to enable the software supporting the system to perform internal verification without the possibility of misuse or recovery of the provided data in the form in which they are written by the users which provides maximum protection from misuse of users’ personal data.



  1. Compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR):

8.1 As required by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, take all organisational and technical measures to protect your personal information.    

8.2 All information we collect is stored online on servers maintained by ………………, 

8.3 Each user may at any time access the personal information entered by them and edit it.

8.4 We only store personal data for which the user has explicitly provided and agreed to store for as long as their account is active, or we store it for a limited period of time until we fulfill the purposes for which we originally collected it.
